Ups and Downs …
So many things happened this month …
- They released version 4 of the layoff list at work, and I’m not on it … but that doesn’t mean I won’t get moved around. In a way it is good because I am tiring of the bad work environment in the department that I currently reside.
- I reconnected with a good friend I got to know back in 2002 and I’m really excited to get to see her soon.
- Yesterday was my birthday and I had a great time. If you want some campy horror movie laughs I highly suggest ‘Pirahna 3D’.
- I’ve been going to the gym almost every day and am 4 pounds away from losing a total of 20 pounds this month, so it is doable to meet my goal this week!
- Things were going great it seems, and then today I discover that my brother got busted for DUI. Why do boys have to push themselves like that!?!?! Totally threw my good vibe off, but I REALLY hope he learns from this experience.
Well … I’m off to the gym so I’ll catch you all later.

Gosh darn I knew I missed something. Your’s and Joel’s are close together. His is (would have been?) in another 3 days.

Your brother never seemed to me like the kind of guy who would drive around drunk, but young people have to learn. (I got so many DUIs in the 70s that the DMV revoked my driver’s license for most of the 80s When I rode my bike, it was against the law. Sssshh. Don’t tell anyone.)
A friend from the park suggested we go snorkeling today at a ‘lagoon’. I just wanted to go down to the pool. I went with him. We borrowed some snorkeling gear, and the “lagoon” was down by the PV cliffs. “That’s no lagoon” I told him. “That’s the pacific ocean! You go snorkeling all you want, but I’ll stay here on the rocks. (there wasn’t even a beach, it was down by Marineland at the new Terranueva hotel on the rocks. (sp) ) “Leave your keys here” I told him, “I might stick around to identify the body, but then I’m driving back to the pool”.
Liz, he didn’t even go into the water. Besides, it was freezing. When we got back to the pool, the gang had taken bets on how long we’d be gone, figuring that we’d immediately turn around and come back and they were right!
I spent Saturday on Naples Island in Long Beach. I forgot that there was such a great photo opportunity there, and the PhotoPost should be up next week. The photos are already on my Webshots gallery.
So my weekend was great too. I want to see Piranha, but I’ll probably wait for it to be streamed to my bigscreen on DirecTV.
Kick Ass was amazing. I recommend it fully. As if Quentin Tarantino directed a comic book flick. I loved Hit Girl.
