  • It is Friday, and I breathe a sigh of relief because I only have one more day to go until I start working at my new location - I'm so excited!  This past week has been pretty interesting, and quite Disney filled as well.  So far I've gone to Disneyland this past Friday, Sunday, and Thursday - did I say I was going Sunday again?  Yeah, we've got canoe races again which I now LOVE even though I've only been once.

Thursday though was the most fun.  I went to go ride Rockin' Space Mountain and Rockin' California Screamin' for the last day, RHCP @ Disneyland ... you will be missed by me!  But, I can always ride along with my iPod and recreate the experience to a certain degree.  Well that day I arranged to meet up with some people from my Disney board and had a blast!  It is so great to be at the park and have at least one person show up to keep you company.  In the morning I hung out with someone who works there on the Matterhorn and he told me all types of interesting little ... employee only secrets ... that I cannot reveal.  And after he kicked my butt on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters I met up with someone who I've gotten together with previously ... since she was at the park with her family celebrating her husband's birthday.  We spent a good chunk of the day together until about 5pm when they had to leave and celebrate at the Blue Bayou.  At that time two other fellow Disney lovers were making their way to the park, so I spent the rest of the day with them ... and ended up leaving at around 10:30pm.  One of them was a 13 year old who was there with his family from Minnesota and they are the most Disney loving family I have ever come across.  His parents (he has a step-dad) are getting married in 8 months, and they wanted to make their vows on Disneyland soil ... so they took bits of soil from all over the park to do just that.  Plus, each room in their house is decorated to match a land or ride from Disneyland!  They were just a fantastic group of people and I enjoyed meeting them.

Friday comes along, and my co-workers surprise me by taking me out to eat.  We ended up going to Olvera Street and eating there, I even got treated to a margarita!  Then one of them started singing that song ... "please don't go ... don't goooooo".  I felt very appreciated, and I have to admit that I loved it.  I will miss them, even though I was only with them for a few months ... but I couldn't stand that lady.  I just don't appreciate that after all this they have told me that they are finally getting rid of her ... but oh well ... a new office brings a lot of different opportunities ... and in this way I can gain better overall experience to be a valuable employee.  I just wish I could take my co-workers with me!  I will be joining them at the race track in two weeks to treat them to drinks and a race, since they are REALLY into that ... so I guess I'll still keep in touch with them.

Another thing I'm going to go check out is an archery range in Pasadena.  See if I like it and want to get into it, I know it's an out of the blue thing ... but I figure it's free to go try it out so why not?  The way I came about this idea is through another forum I go into it.  I go there for shits and giggles because some of that stuff is over the top, but they were posting about what weapons can you obtain that don't have to be registered in case the New World Order takes over and they look through records to see what you have.  Someone started posting about bows, so I was curious if they even had a such a thing going around in the Los Angeles area, and sure enough they did.  I was surprised, but then when I saw that they have this bow named Tigress ... well that piqued my interest and I decided I'd give it a try.

Oh, and here is a picture my friend took when we were at Disneyland this past Thursday.  It is kinda blurry because it's taken from the screens outside the ride showing the pictures for Tower Of Terror (I ADORE THAT RIDE ... and the only reason I step foot in California Adventure).  I'm in the top row ... from right to left are Alpine, Me, Ginarella's hubby, and Ginarella.  Her daughters are towards the bottom right holding their faces to their hands.  The couple holding on to each other at the end of our row ... scared.out.of.their.MINDS.  Ginarella told me that the lady was shaking when she got off.

P.S.  I ADDED FRIENDS BLOCK TO MY XANGA.  SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, BUT I HAD SOME ISSUES WITH SOMEONE ... AND FIGURED OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND.  THANKS!

Me on my FAVORITE ride ... Rockin' Space Mountain ... which plays the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Higher Ground". I love rockin' the Universe!

I'll be going to Disneyland again this Thursday to go on the Rockin' rides one last time ... it's their last day ... and I will miss them!

Today was meant for the hardcore Disney fanatics.  This is our group at 6:30 am, yep ... 6:30 am.  I actually was able to make it to the park in about 20 minutes, because at 5am ... every lane is the fast lane.  Although I have to admit that I was quite surprised there were so many of us there at that time, but then ... being that we love Disney so much maybe I shouldn't have been so surprised.  I kid you not when I say that we pretty much did everything we wanted to do by 10am.  The best part of the day though was the canoe races we had.

There were about 20 of us that dared to brave the canoes at 8 in the morning, and we were split into two groups.  We were halfway around Tom Sawyer's Island when our guide tells us we are going to have to race down to the barrel bridge with the other half of our group ... well ... this being my first time on the canoes I was hoping to win.  Let me say that I got WET because the guys in front of me were paddling with all they had.  Of course our canoe won, so it was worth getting wet.

I guess that is the main reason I like going to Disneyland a lot with my MC friends ... you always end up having fun in some unexpected and new ways.  Now I'm off to bed ... because after running around Disneyland for a few hours that early in the morning ... I need a nap.

  • I had an interview on Friday and I got the job!  No more having to deal with that crazy b**** at work!!!!  Along with that my Union worked it out to have us get a raise ... a raise which will be retroactive to July 2006!  Today was a F****** GREAT day!

  • Sometimes odd things happen at odd times - and this is one of those times.  I just happened to log on to AIM at around 1am because my dog woke me up to be let out, I had gone to sleep at 8pm so I figured I could fiddle around for a bit online.  All of a sudden I get an IM from somebody in Arizona.  Odd I think ... and neither of us knew how we came upon the other ... until he figured it was from my YouTube page.  He turned out to be quite the nice guy I have to admit, and if you're reading this PacMan ... very nice looking as well.

Getting back on track here, I am amazed that I get so many comments on this particular video.  I guess it could be because there was so much emotion put into it at the time, but out of all the YouTube videos I have this is the one that is always getting comments and praises ... and also the video that got PacMan's attention ... so I figured I'd share it with you all once again.  Enjoy!

  • I've always commented to my brother that once his generation starts taking over our government I will most assuredly kill myself.  It frightens me that they are so easily led without a strong basis to change their view on, they just follow without thinking ... and probably is the same reason why the Wicked Witch (Hillary Clinton) is out there as a presidential candidate (God help us if she wins).

I was just shocked at the fact that a few weeks ago students were actually protesting to make Cesar Chavez day a National holiday, and demonstrated this by not going to school.  There is no doubt in my mind that Cesar Chavez was a great man, but the way most folks use him and portray him disgusts me.  The fact that most times his memory as a great leader is used to bolster the spirits of those defending illegal immigration is just offensive.  I wonder if these people know that Cesar Chavez served in the Navy and served his country - America.  In his love for this country he helped ALL farmworkers and unionized them, and he DID NOT support illegal immigrants.  As a matter of fact he tried to dissuade illegals from coming over the border and ruining their efforts at unionizing the workers.  Do these people know this?  I highly doubt that they do ... that or they choose to ignore THE FACTS and continue to distort the image of this man.  Chavez stood not for unregulated immigration or the civil rights of
illegal or legal aliens. Chavez simply wanted to organize an unskilled
labor sector to achieve a fair wage for a day's work.

My co-worker was the one who informed me about this march and asked what I thought about it.  I told him that I thought Cesar Chavez was a great man, but there was already a State holiday and most of these kids were just looking for an excuse to get out of their classes for the day.  I don't understand why these kids don't go out in the same numbers and with the same energy to improve their education.  As it is these kids aren't even mediocre performers in school, and that is a sad state of affairs.  The fact that there are high school seniors reading at an elementary level is astonishing, yet here they are demanding a day off from school ... a day which I am certain if granted would not be used to commemorate Cesar Chavez in any way.

If these kids keep this up they won't even be able to work for the school system they got out of!

Ok ... enough ranting ... now onto a song I'm enjoying at the moment ...

  •  I am planning on a new career move ... professional stalker to Morrissey!  God I love him ... can't get enough ...

  • This is Maya, or as I tend to call her ... my furry Valentine (I enjoy Frankie's "My Funny Valentine" ... so I decided to adapt to my Maya).  We went for quite a few walks this past weekend and it tired us both out, so we ended up napping in the same bed - although when I fell asleep I was alone.  Thanks to her, and taking those walks I am recovering much more quickly from my broken leg.  I have no limp now, well except when I sit for long periods of time and then get up ... I need to warm up.  I also discovered that there is no way in hell that I will able to wear heels again until I take the screws and rod out of my leg, I tried it last week at work and 30 minutes into it I could swear that the screws on the bottom were ready to bust out of my leg (good thing I took my flats ... which I hate ... miss my heels).

Plus when I go to my daily Sunday Disneyland meet I walk from the parking structure to the park, so that's a good 20 minute walk that wakes me up as I approach the happiest place on Earth!  Even better is that through my Disney forum I have met a great group of folks, the common thread being that we just adore Disney to an outrageous degree ... but enjoy it we do ... every Sunday at Noon ... the Hub on Main Street folks ... if you're ever interested.  So, where was I going with this?

Oh yeah, I have found a passion recently - something that I was sorely lacking for quite some time.  I found that some of my fellow Disney folks were avid bike riders and have decided to delve back into bike riding.  Of course I need to buy a new bike, because you can't be riding along on a beach cruiser - well I don't have the strength at the moment to do it.  It does feel great to be out there again riding though, and because of this I have started to prepare myself for the AIDS Lifecycle ride coming around next year in June.  A whole week to get from San Francisco to Los Angeles - which is good since I do live in Los Angeles ... that way my family can pick up my collapsed body and take me home to my bed.  I am just so psyched about this and can't wait, because how many people can say they biked from San Francisco to Los Angeles?  Not many, and I'll be one of the not many ... plus hopefully some of those Disney folks will be joining me as well ... so that will be even better!

    My pearly pink beach cruiser!

For now I'm just looking forward to my Disneyland meeting this Sunday, lots of people from out of town that I'm looking forward to meeting will be there ... plus we'll be wearing our Crocs!  Some of the most ugliest shoes, but quite comfortable ... so it doesn't matter!

  • I just got through reading Fast Food Nation, and I have to agree after going through all that ... we are what we eat folks ... and we're spreading it around the world.  Republican and McDonald's bashing aside, it really opens your eyes to what you really are eating ... and it isn't good.

  • Today was just an odd day, too many things came down the line at the same time and I ended up buried in crap ... sort of.

That b**** at work is getting on my last nerve and I can't wait to get out of there.  I truly do feel that she is just picking on me.  One of the way they resolved my exposure to her was to have another co-worker (who has her nose in this woman's ass) be the go between.  So today she tells me that the stamp my Supervisor got me (with my name on it is too big).  WTF LADY!!!!  I have been using it for like the past THREE months ... and I have an inch of paperwork to prove it ... you saw EVERY single one of those forms ... and NOW you tell me IT'S TOO BIG!!!

Seriously ... WTF!!!  This lady needs to get laid or something because she is just being a big b****!!!!

I know I usually don't express myself in this way, but damn!  She's just looking for it!!!
