June 29, 2007

  • June, the middle of the year has turned out to be one of the craziest months in my life.  Its a month that included the good, the bad and the ugly!

    The Good
Got to ride Nemo during the media preview, away from the crowds.
Got my Opening Day Nemo pin.
Got invited to eat dinner at Club 33 in September!
Have become District Vice President for a region in my Union

    The Bad
    Got a staph infection.
During staph infection got the worst fever EVER!  It was 115 at one point!

    The Ugly
My Uncle got gravely ill and passed away a week ago.

Here's hoping that the rest of the year unfolds without any major incidents!

  • 115!?! wow, I've never heard of anyone having a fever that high, not even in the movies.

  • Hope the year ahead is going forward, energetic and joyful.

  • I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
    I hope things get better:)

  • Dear Liz,

Well, we "met" on Xanga so it shouldn't seem so strange to me to contact you this way. I just saw your profile shoot to the top of my sublist, and hadn't seen an entry in a long while.

Get well soon. Gee, you sure do get shafted with sickness.

My condolences on the passing of your Uncle.

I somehow knew you'd be in Club 33 sooner of later.

I thought that the subs in the billboard ads were "shooting Nemo" with a ray gun, but it's just a spotlight. (And I still think it's weird that they are "yellow submarines" like in the Beatles song.)

I'm bummed. My premium subscription ran out and I can't seem to get through the process of acquiring a lifetime subscription. The only place I've been able to find to subscribe, since it doesn't show  up when I click "my account" is from a website by Chris to which I was directed from the front page of Xanga. I found a link in his entry, and clicked it, and filled out the forms, submittted my credit card info, and got a runtime error message. I've attempted to contact John, the CEO of Xanga through messaging, and to Chris, with a comment on his entry, but for now my site is "naked" with a dang ad at the top of my page.

Here's hoping the rest of your year unfolds with only the good and none of the bad or ugly.

While looking through my own Photo Blog section today, I noticed that my photo of you and your family I posted in May of 2006 is right next to a photo of Cinderella Castle at Disneyland. Strange. I also pay lip service to you when putting my fridge magnets back on my refrigerator in the third part of my Almost Homeless video series.

Take care, and luv you lots,

    Michael  (ppf)
