I took this picture yesterday of my dog, Maya. It was my sister's 29th birthday this past Friday, so Saturday we went out to the Glendale Galleria to eat at one of her favorite places - Todai. After our meal we strolled around the mall for a bit, had to go to the Hello Kitty story because she loves that stuff and I found this. I laughed about it, because it was in the dog section (I'm laughing that they have a dog section at the Hello Kitty store). My sister thought it was something she HAD to get, so she could take a picture of Maya and put it up on her MySpace.Maya, to say the least, was not very proud of wearing this hat. She didn't even want to go out and show my mom, but maybe that's because I was laughing so hard I nearly peed my pants looking at her. She was a good sport about it though and stood still for her pictures. I kinda think she looks cute though. These past few days though she's been getting in the habit of waking up early, scratching at my bedroom door, and invading my bed.
Oh, and another thing. I have never been around a dog that sighs so much. As she starts to relax and get comfy in the bed she will let out this long sigh - as if she's telling you to leave her the hell alone so she could sleep. She also snores, loudly ... scared the heck out of me the first she did that and she was sleeping in my room.
I really love her a lot though. I like having her in my bed, petting her and just falling asleep together. As I'm typing this she is sleeping in my bed and just let out one of those sighs ... looks like I better go then ... LOL.

the dog looks like Ralphie when he had to wear the bunny suit in the Christmas Story movie...;)...
Poor Maya!!! give her a kiss on the snout!!
She's adorable. I don't know if I'd put my dog in hats, probably sweaters since it does get cold here. I am finally making headway on the dog-issue with husband. If I quit smoking, I can have a dog after 6 months. That's a great incentive!
poor thing...the thigns we do to our pets!
I know what you mean about the sighs...one of ours does it often, it's adorable really. They would sleep with us always if we let them. Under the covers especially.
Dear Liz,
I agree with "anam" above, "poor thing...the thigns we do to our pets!"
This is animal cruelty. That's what this is. I should report you to the "dog police" for making poor Maya wear skull head tee shirts AND Hello Kitty hats.
Love,
Michael
