EDIT: I just uploaded my Disneyland pictures I took today. It was a great day at the park, but a little cold. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and instead of posting them I'll just put the link to my Xanga Album HERE so you can view them at your leisure. Well my fellow Xangans, I think you are in for a treat. Although wether it is good or bad is up to you. For the first time I have created a ... VIDEO BLOG! It is bad, the color is ... bad too ... and my voice is even worse! But, I decided what the hell I'll let you all see and hear what I've been up to and introduce you to bits and pieces of my room. I also did a bad job at editing, but that's because I had to keep it under 10 minutes ... so I'm thinking of getting myself one of those director accounts on YouTube, because I really don't like the video on Xanga. So, here it is folks ... my very first video blog ... enjoy!

I enjoyed your video! of your room and the song too. You have a nice voice. Thank you for sharing.
Have a nice day hugs
that was so cool! Thanks for the tour. I'd do that but I don't have a video camera heck I don't even have a camera need to work on that.
very nice to see you and a neat tour...
Wow! That was cool. That was a lot. You're weird too. *smile*
RYC I know doesn't suck lol...
RYC II....I'm not sure if he ever saw how puney and pathetic I really was, I think he probably be better off.
This was wonderful! It was great to meet you this way. I love how everything has a story to it and meaning for you. I like to keep my house filled with things like that as well. It's much nicer to come home to than some sterile designed flat.
Good job with the video!
That was GRRRREAT!! Loved it. You weren't talkin to yourself sweetie, you were sharing with all of us. I appreciate you putting it out there like that and I loved the mess!!! You should see my laundry room (we call it never never land)! Take care and bravo!!
I loved it! I know I know I need to do one too maybe soon. -jo

Dear Liz,
. Your first commenter, whom I hope is joking, seemed to be saying that your "random tour" included nothing of interest to the "general public." Most of what is "featured" on YouTube as their most watched and commented videos are non interesting to me. I was attracted to your blog when I first started reading it because of your photos and descriptions of the items in your room. So basically, this is a "video version" of some of the picture posts you have already put on your blog.
I really could give you a "shot by shot" criticism, but I won't. I will leave you with some pointers that I've learned. When you said you needed to edit it down to it's present 7.12min, I wondered what you needed that much time for, and after viewing the video, I see that you could have possibly edited about another 3 or 4 minutes out. I've found that I can edit any shot to exactly the amount of time I need it to be, even if I thought it was "great photography" in the first place.
1. Anything that is out of focus or haphazard should be lost.
2. There can be many more edits. You seem to "leave the camera running" The trick to making a good video, and an internet video or video blog in particular, is to see how much you can show in as little amount of time.
3. Obviously this isn't scripted, um, but, um, when you're talking in, um, real life, um, people will accept, um, a bit of stammering, but, um, when you present an, um, video, it, um, really stands out.
Now I know what your friend Eric and your sister gifted you with, but what about that boyfriend of yours. Doesn't he ever give you gifts?
Come to think of it, I don't think you even mentioned your mania for monkeys, and I certainly would have panned across that "historic" Disneyland poster.
For all the criticizing above, I did immensely enjoy the video, but then I enjoy you.
Love, Michael
P.S. Coincidentally, I used the song "In My Room" as background for a video tour of my digs when I lived with Bob in my long form VHS video "The Uncle Mike Story" made for my neice in 1989.
I finally made it here to view your video and enjoyed it. Very attractive and articulate lady behind the camera who is very interesting. I know "interesting" because of her collection of things and the fact she is so busy with life her room is a bit untidy. I can tell you my home has had those moments and in fact stays on the untidy side a lot anymore. Loved your turtle and have never been to a shop where you make something for yourself while there. It had to be fun. Loved your angel, I have a small collection of my own that will be on display sometime in the near future on my blog.
About a video of my own, kind of doubtful as I don't have a video cam and may never. My voice isn't all that much to listen too anyway and attractive left me a long time ago. Still pictures of other things works much better for me but think your video is so well done you should be sure to make them off and on as you find things you want to display, live and moving.
Thanks for the invite to see your video. I had to backtrack a few entries to discover it but wouldn't have missed it for the world.
Becca
