  • I just want to show pictures of my new baby ... MAYA!

Here she's trying to not stand still.  Beagles sure have A LOT of energy!

When she first came this morning, she immediately climbed onto my bed.  I think she's a princess.  Although I really love the first picture of her on my bed.

I really lucked out in getting her.  One of my co-workers was trying to find a home for her, being that she is his daughter's dog and she's moving to Arizona - in an apartment that doesn't accept pets.  I got her totally free too, so that was an even better deal.  The only bad side ... it seems that I have a slight reaction to her fur.  My lip puffed up a bit (I guess I won't need those collagen shots with her around ... LOL), and I got itchy all over ... plus more bumps on my forehead.  But, with a little washing (and a little time away from her) I tend to be okay.  That's what happened when we got our first dog.  I had slight allergies to her, but being around her on a daily basis made it go away.

So, for now I will be taking Maya on plenty of walks ... and that is even better timing because I can actually walk now!

I hope you all have a great labor day weekend!

  • she's very cute! i'm allergic to animals too. we keep them in the house. so i have to take sinus meds year round. it's worth it though. you don't get as much lovin' when they are outside all the time.

  • She is SO beautiful!  Hug and kiss her for me!

  • How perfect Liz!  It will be great therapy :) hehe, and she's not too big as to pull you all to hell.   She's adorable too.

I'm sure you're allergies will go away in time.

  • I love the name Maya - did you gave it to her?

  • adorable...and she seems to suit your character quite well, such a freee spitit

RYC i don't get these morons that design the layouts to this.

  • I love beagles; those ears are so endearing.

  • *hey*

what a cute puppy! i bet you're going to have a lot of fun with her. i'm not too much of a dog person, so i can't relate too much to the love of a dog, but i'm very much a cat person, as you know, and i can relate to the love for a pet. i hope you have fun with her! ((hugs))

  • its been a while - great looking puppy!

  • She's beautiful. I'm really jealous. You need to teach her really off-the-wall tricks. As she's a Beagle, you'll probably have to deal with weird side-effects, smells and allergies. I had a Bassett for many years. First 3 months inside I would get a little itchy and bathing her didn't help (yes I bathed too). After that it just went away.

  • The puppy is very cute. I have a weimaraner. She is adorable. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to subscribe if you wish. I love making new friends.

  • Very cute! Beagle's have a good amount of energy but just wait until you hear her bark/howl. Good luck with your allergies. I have several animals even though I am allergic to them all.
    *sparkle

  • RYC: Yes, I make these myself. I don't make the beads myself, but I put them together. There are som many possibilities with beaded jewelry.

  • *hey*

i see you're running around my page judging by the footprints and time on it, but you're not on yahoo. shame on you. lol. ((hugs))

  • My boyfriend wants a beagle soooooooo badly. We're both allergic, though, and we currently live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets. But someday!

  • Every minky should have a Beagle. Yes.

  • She is beautiful.  Bath her in your shampoo and conditioner it will help your allergy to her hair.

  • I love you!  (((hugs)))  Sorry I haven't gone shopping for your present... I've been a depressed lump since April left... Alisha made me get out today which was nice.  I can't sit in silence... I need to keep moving or it's just too painful... blah!  Kiss that baby for me!  Kiss your self while you're at it!  Muah!

  • congrats, congrats, congrats!
