  • PREY FOR THE MOON

    Overflowing desire is
    Hard to contain
    Condensating into the
    Cool midnight air

    On those odd
    Full moon nights
    Of gossamer haze
    And
    Tempestuous tides

    She feeds off my
    Self made madness
    That escapes through tears
    And
    Restless murmurings

    A slender sliver of
    Her predatory light
    Captures me whole
    And I fall prey

    One more star
    On her list of causalities

  • Wow, just read the history of your broken leg incident. I had not even come close to realizing how good I have it. Mine was not nearly as serious as yours despite it requiring surgery. I simply want to thank you for your updates as you have made me realize that although I considered my own situation horrible, it could be much much worse. Good luck and I wish you the best. =)

  • Nice poem liz, flows very well.

  • *hey*

  • Hi there Liz, I found your blog through another blog.  I'm sorry to hear about your leg - I hope that your pain will lessen w/ every passing day. Take it one day at a time - healing can't be rushed! Also,  I love your poem. It's stunning in its power to invoke emotions within me - simply surreal & beautiful! Thanks for sharing it w/ us!
