"Find five things you could be and complete the sentence on how it would contribute to society"
Zeal4living tagged me with this one, and I have to admit I've had a tough time coming up with this. Especially after a talk I had with the director of a college program I participated in.
"Title doesn't dictate your role at work, once you show what your strengths are your title is irrelevant ... and more then likely you'll do what you are good at and enjoy."
I find that very true. In every position I have shown my strengths, and tasks that are beyond my "job description" are also within my grasp. So, when I thought of things I could be ... I couldn't really come up with anything.
It shocked me that even with all the good and bad that I call life I am actually quite happy and satisfied with who I am in this time and place. I have no need to look elsewhere for a way to contribute to society. I can do that right now. I am doing it right now.
One of the few movies I do own ... this is where I hide my icepick! LOL!
And, I just thought of the most wonderful way to spend a Friday evening. Drawing a nice, warm bubble bath with candles around a nice ample tub. Putting on some relaxing music, and getting into the tub with that special someone to read to each other. That'd be a great way to unwind. Each one reads a page while the one not reading sponge bathes the one that is ... and vice versa ... and then wackiness will ensue ... LOL!
What can I say ... I like to read aloud ... and this would just be so much fun!

Sounds like fun to me!
D (((hugs)))
i knew there was something about that little "name 5 things" bit that kind of didn't seem right to me
besides ... you can't tell what the real interesting things to be will contribute to society ... that's what makes them valuable
Dear Elizabeth,
My friend Jim and I used to perform "call and answer" poetry readings with each other. (No, we're not gay, and not there was no tub involved) It was always rather enjoyable however. I would pick one of my poems and read it, and then he would pick a "response" poem from among his own work. We spent many an enjoyable afternoon doing this.
Wouldn't the pages of the books get wet?

Yeah, if I'm not contributing now I don't suppose I ever will.
Haha! Make sure you get like one of those baby books that are waterproof:) Me and Jesse get books of short stories and read them aloud to each other when we are really really bored.
And you asnwered well. I am glad you are happy with whom you are. I feel that way myself. It is a sign of you living your life fully.
