  • Hmmm ... so I was bored the other evening and I cut my hair.  Nothing drastic.  Just some bangs, and trimmed it about 2 inches.  Wanted to try something new ... and YES!  I cut my own hair!  I can use scissors without nicking a major artery so I prefer not to pay someone else for something I can do.  Plus, beauty parlors scare the hell out of me for some odd reason.  My heart skips a beat when I pass one by and I see them eyeing me.  I bet they are thinking of all the things they could do with me ... well screw them ... I got it ... NO THANKS LADIES!

And I'm posting this poem (12g of C12) once again for Jesus.  He is a great person I finally got the pleasure to chat with the other evening.  And just posting a snippet of the chat for my memory.  Excuse the fact it is in Spanish for non-Spanish readers ... and for my Spanish without accents for the Spanish readers.  I'm not perfect ... okay!  But, I did have a damned interesting chat with him ... hopefully now he'll be on Yahoo more often (waves hello)!

    JDV : no, efectivamente

Then there was the post of the day that just brought me to tears as I read ... from mag_1.  The royal touch of her hand on words just grabs me ... wonderful wordplay is her forte ... and I just couldn't contain the tears as I read over and over again her words set forth here:

u rub my head with a hand that has been the pen & fountain of mountains of words so powerful i quake at all that has been contained in ur vessel  head  heart & hands at one mad  glad moment or another  time & time   again   contentment is what i sense  & swelling pride as some unbroken strong as silk alive invincible  invisible time tie bond  affirms me

It shakes me once again reading.  These words ... conjure up images that are so powerful to me.

  • Haha, that's funny. Because usually when someone says "I cut my hair" I say "Oh YOU cut YOUR hair?" And then they are all like "Well, no someone cut it for me." But you actually did cut your own hair. So my joke is not functional here. How sad.

  • I wish I could cut hair...after my one and only attempt in which I messed it up majorly, I now leave my haircutting to others. lol

Your poem is stunning...it inspires a sense of awe within me. WOW!

And yes, Mag is a spectacular wordsmith...I'm amazed by her freely flowing creativity.

  • Ohhh NO!  I'm starting to repeat myself on a comment I just left on:  LimeliteShines  site.  (Her name is all run together like that if you do a search to go there).  This woman I also follow talks about how she has hair 1/2 down her back and wants to cut it - again.....NOoooooo!!!!!  She's usually a good read - I subscribe to her too.  If not for her other stuff, at least for this cutting the hair topic (as well as my humble attempt at explaining why men don't want women with long hair to cut it).

  • I cut my own hair as well, though I have Jeff finish it off in back since I can't see.  But yeah, I keep such a simple cut really, I see no point in paying someone else.
